Meet the founder

Rachel Hernández Pumarejo has over two decades of experience as a strategist and designer, with a decade working with leading financial institutions and innovative startups. She’s developed products, experiences, and brands for: Popular, Walmart, Sam’s Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Chase, JPMorgan, Vanguard, Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Medalla, Mondelez, Puma, Humana, Subway, Knorr, Axe, among others.

Rachel is a generalist and her professional experiences reflect the diversity of roles she’s excelled at, from Design, Research, and Strategy to Education, Interactive Production, and Project Management. She sees design from a holistic perspective, and that’s the way it informs the work she’s done through the entirety of her career.

She’s also a LUMA Certified Facilitator and a mentor for prospective and junior practitioners who want to prioritize human-centered design principles in their work. Furthermore, she’s also been able to educate prospective designers on HCD principles at higher education levels.

Rachel gives back to the design community as a volunteer in the following projects and communities: Design Dinners, Diseño Ético Comunidad, and ENTORCHA.

Furthermore, in 2021, Rachel created a grassroots group called Women in Client Experience, which aims to bridge the gap with truly intersectional approaches to customer-centricity.
